I live in Maple Valley, Washington, with my husband and 3 young children. Coffee is a means of survival. I believe in true love, liberal condiment usage, and regular trips to the used bookstore. I also believe in the power of stories.
I graduated from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, with my B.A. in Creative Writing. Lawlis Creative was launched shortly after my graduation in 2008, and over the past 9 years, this studio has become a deeply satisfying blend of skill, creativity, and connection.
Each of my clients has a unique story — the “how” and the “why” and the “what” that keeps them working toward what they know their business or nonprofit can become. Faced with the prospect of a LinkedIn bio, an advertising opportunity, a fundraising campaign, or an outdated website, however . . . it can be difficult to know where to start. Especially if you’re already so busy doing the work that properly sharing your work always waits for another day.
That’s where I come in.
I’m one of those weirdos who loves facing a blank page. Whether it’s a press release, an “About” page, a newsletter, or a brand new business card — I see each one as an opportunity to tell your story and connect you to the people who most need to hear it. And if you’re not convinced your story is all that compelling, that’s ok. I can help you find it.
I’d love to hear about your next project! Please contact me or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
