I live in Maple Valley, Washington, with my husband and 3 young children. I believe in true love, liberal condiment usage, strong coffee, and frequent trips to the used bookstore. I also believe in the power of stories.
After growing up right here in the Pacific Northwest, I graduated from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, with my B.A. in Creative Writing. Lawlis Creative was launched shortly after my graduation in 2008, and over the past 9 years, this studio has become a deeply satisfying blend of skill, creativity, and connection.
Each of my clients has a unique story — the “how” and the “why” and the “what” that keeps them working toward what they know their business or nonprofit can become. Faced with the prospect of a LinkedIn bio, an advertising opportunity, a fundraising campaign, or an outdated website, however . . . it can be difficult to know where to start. Especially if you’re already so busy doing the work that properly sharing your work always waits for another day.
That’s where I come in. I’m one of those weirdos who loves facing a blank page. Whether it’s an “About” page, a special event invitation, a newsletter, a site wireframe, or a brand new business card — I see each project as an opportunity to tell your story and connect you to the people who need to hear it most.
I’d love to hear about your next project! Please reach out and we’ll set up a time for a phone call or, even better, conversation over warm beverages. Fair warning: I’ve got a loud laugh.
